This attached ADU was carved out of an existing basement space as part of a larger home remodel in the Berkeley Hills. At 558 sq. ft., this studio unit makes the most of its efficient footprint. The space is served with a heat pump minisplit for HVAC and an on-demand hot water, high efficiency plumbing fixtures and appliances.  The ADU has a dedicated entry from the street and maintains privacy from the main house via acoustic and fire separations.
